This was hopeless - I can't find a useful search phrase for this - I get too many "false positives"
This may be an out of sync problem of some kind

I used another approach and found that this may have to do with problem with the stride size where stride == bytes per line
Now that does not help much in itself, but clearly indicates a config problem or even a problem with the video driver
