How do you set up a printer in LM 6 XFCE?

Hi:
You might be able to help me. I have an Epson Color Stylus 740 that I would love to enable on Mint 6 XFCE RC1.
I am wondering if I should use the USB cable or the Serial cable. I am willing to try anything with this printer to make it to work.
