Sound Recorder

I have just installed the new Linux Mint 6 KDE version 0.97-29-mintmain-8 and must say I'm impressed after being with PcLinuxOs for the past 6 years. Your version appears to be far superior than the new PcLinux Os. However, their Gnome version managed to get Sound Recorder working with a minimum of effort.

I'm using an Acer Aspire 7720 laptop now and enclosed is sound car inf.

I can play all sounds on software provided. Sound recorder does not record after trying several combinations. I want to use it for recording internet music and sounds from speaker/line-in.

The standard solution for all sound problems with ICH8 is this one

Thanks for inf. I'll give it a try. Similar problem with PClinuxOS (acer laptop) not PC.
