I'm running Linux Mint 7 live right now, and like it a lot.
Bye-bye Windows 7

Unfortunately I think that's still true, but I anticipate the day when big companies support linux (NWN works nicely, natively, under linux)Dupoint wrote:My philosophy is Windows=Gaming, Linux=4real.

Yes, and no to that. Any website designer worth his salt will write to the standards first. What they have managed is to force people to then continue and write all their necessary hacks to make it work in IE (the vast majority of coding time is spent on this)sammypike wrote:Just like microsoft has convinced persons to write websites to favour internet explorer.
Re: Replacing Windows 7 RC with Linux Mint 7 RC
For the moment I'm using Windows 7, why? because I like to play some games and I will not use Wine(I need the full power of my PC), so I will not reboot my system every time.
Because I'm very interested in Linux-Systems, I will use a Dual boot system forever. (ok too play some old Games I use Windows XP in Virtualbox).
From the position of a non-technical-PC-User (like my Girl-friend) Linux has to do a lot and become more popular, that it can become mainstream.
I'm sure when Linux Mint 7 x64 come out, and will make a donation (my third, one for every release I use)
