Hi
I'm a relatively new linux user. I lost my linux installation a few weeks ago and have only now gone back.
When I tried to use envy to install my nividia drivers, it began downloading some files online (as it did last time). Unfortunate most of the downloads failed. I then went to update the mint software, but even after refreshing the list, no updates are available.
Is something down on the network?
Can someone please help?

Which version of Mint did you install?

I have actually no idea what version it is. I've been trying to find out, but unfortunately whenever I install vista and then Linux mint, I'll start the PC get a flash of words saying GRUB something and then it starts Vista (sigh). I suspect it's an older version.
Should I download Linux mint 6 or7? Will that fix the download issues as well as the Grub problem?

Well it should be Daryna judging from the links and there is no support - the links are no longer valid
Go ahead and download Mint 6 or 7 RC - Gloria RC is so stable that it could be the final with a few changes
Check the md5sum and burn as slow as possible and you should be good to go
