What version of Mint are you using?

I know that there have been a lot of posted problems with newer Intel chipsets, and both Mint & Ubuntu are actively working on it.

Well, lets start by learning what version of Mint you're running. In terminal run the command:

cat /etc/issue
Also while you're there post the output of this command:

Code: Select all

aplay -l
BTW that's a lower case L.
