I also am looking forward to the 64 bit version of Mint 7. I do some video work and also quite a bit of audio work. I couldn't get the processing power I needed with 32 bit.(I have tried with Mint) Also I did not find the 64 bit version of Ubuntu 9.04 to be any less stable than the 32 bit version. I would rather run Mint but at this time I need the extra power. When the 64 bit version is released I will install it. There is no good reason 64 bit should be any less stable than 32 bit.
@ everyone, wierdo124 was out of line with his rude comment that was made out of retaliation but lakehousetech threw the first stone with his first rude unedited post. Furthermore this is the mint64 section is it not? Wierdo124's first comment was just a simple statement and did not deserve the answer he got. People who think that this subject doesn't need to be talked about, or that it has been beat to death, and are tired of hearing about 64 bit versions don't really need to be in this section.
Have a Nice Day,
Eddie
