Nice Release!

The only website that did not work was the playboy 50 years silverlight database...
Only one question... why is memtest86+ 1.70 bundled and not a new one?

I really love Mint!

It is the first Linux distro that I tried...

I think it will be the only distro that I'll use.

Congratulations!

I just installed the "Felicia" Fluxbox CE a couple weeks ago, and have been very favorably impressed.
I am looking forward to upgrading to "Gloria", but if that path proves too complex for me, I'll definitely give "Gloria" Fluxbox CE it's own fresh installation when it is released.

Great work, folks!
I'm very happy that I gave Mint a try!!!

I have tried Fedora, Ubuntu and few other less popular distros before I moved to Mint and I am too a Mint lover from the first day I installed it. But enough of sweet talk. Now say something bad about Gloria or we will never see Mint 8. :P

After having been through Windows 95 to Vista, and Macs, plus Ubuntu and Puppy, well......
The present version of Mint is "cool, calm and collected".
Simple to download, simple to burn to disc, simple to install, and above all - beautiful to use.
My computer is dual-booting with Mint 7 and Vista and if I needed to speak poetically about it
I would say that the whole of the machine feels as it is on holiday with Mint 7 whereas under
Vista, Windows 7 and Mac, stress creeps in all of the time.
Do not ask me about programming, I am just a user, but no mess...
Really impressed !!!

I have been using Linux Mint 7 "Gloria" for a few days now and I have overall quite impressed with it. I really like how easy it was to install. Right after the first boot up there was working Flash, Codec (even .wmv), Sound. It detected my video card without any problems. I have even noticed that some programs run better then the windows counterpart. Like Mozilla Prism seems to work better in Linux then Vista. Anyways, enough of my ramblings. This release rock! Great work Mint Team!

I couldn't wait any longer for the update path from Felicia and did a clean install, I must say that after a little scare where GRUB couldn't load either LM or Win7 the first time and I had to re-install, everything has been running smoothly and I'm deeply impressed. I thought LM6 was everything I wanted and now I feel the same way about Gloria, thanks a lot guys!

Hey all!
From freedom came ELEGANCE! Can you write your own epitaph years in advance?
I've been away for a while in NOVELL land. Thats where my training lies. In my defence I have an ASUS laptop that runs Daryna, and has done since I got it. And I have never had a reason to look elsewhere. This is my work supplied machine that was shipped with XP Pro. That lasted a week. Daryna has served me well. But f#$%ing WOW on Gloria. I.T. is my livelihood. Reliabilty for my personal gear is essential. 40 minutes to install "Gloria" and another three to get K3B. The interface is MAGIC! The speed is amazing. I have a rig at home that just installs distros. I play with them and move on. Fedora, RHEL, DamnSmall, Puppy, Ubuntu, Xandros...you name it. Most installs get a fortnight. You guys won an accolade recently for being the best "welcome to linux" distro. You will win more! You keep winning me. My wife runs XP (for work) and dual boots MINT6 for all her internet needs. Guess what I'm doing to her rig tomorrow. "'Morning Dear, have you met Gloria. She's very elegant"

Thank You so much, I have been trying to get away from windows for a long time now and you made it possible.
My modem would not work with other configurations, but Mint is the most user friendly OS I have found. I am only a hobbyist computer builder, and retired heating man, and am now windows free!
My name is Sam Craig and I am Windows Free for 1 day!

Spectacular! I absolutely adore Gloria! For my Dell D505 Broadcom BCM4306 rev02, I had to install b43-fwcutter, get the wl_apsta-3.130.20.0.o firmwire, run b43-fwcutter, remove and install b43 driver, startup wlan0 and reboot (i think with felicia i didn't need to reboot for the wlan to start picking up a signal). Her interface is so beautiful and I am happy to have Gloria in my computing life.

And youtube videos work on Firefox! Yay! (Didn't work when I had Ubuntu 9.04 on my d505)

I'm also glad to be using my pc laptop as my macbook has a sharp front edge which irritates me, whereas my pc has some nice smooth curves. My macbook may only be used for its adobe creative suite cs3 applications and helping friends when their ibooks/macbooks get in trouble. I doubt that I will drop either windows (i'm dual booting) or mac osx as I try to rescue folks when they're in a computer quagmire. However, Gloria brings a joy and richness to my computing now.

Great work Clem and team. You are playing an important role in bringing Linux to more and more desktops/laptops/netbooks. I found out how to put linuxmint on usb and will install Gloria on a friend's netbook. Thanks for your commitment, brilliance, vision, and hard work. May your efforts be rewarded and all good things come to your lives.

I would like to install a live USB Gloria into a flash memory, too.
Do you know a quick way to do it? I'm a Linux newbie.
I did the same with LinuxMint 6, via unetbootin: all run smoothly.
Unfortunately, unetbootin does not have LinuxMint 7 yet.
I tried with image-writer, but it didn't work.
