Nec 1300A DVD/RW

Hi all ,
has anyone had any success getting the NEC 1300A drive to work in Mint. So far I'm not able to get it to recognize any blank discs.
It will play dvd's and read already burnt cdrs but i can not get it to burn any discs. any help appreciated.

I see lots of firmware upgrades to this old burner but I don't see much more

Yes, that is about all I have found also. Was hoping someone may have had sucess with this one.. o well it was given to me so nothing really lost. Just wanted to burn some DVD's.

if you did not pay for it you might try some firmware upgrade - but read carefully first
