lost my desktop icons
I know this question has been asked but I can't find an answer. How do I replace them? I can't even right click on my desktop and get the desktop menu. I use Mint6.

Try this:
If so delete it and see if your desktop returns.
You haven't by any chance created any nautilus-actions lately have you?Husse wrote:It is Nautilus that manages the Desktop icons
Use Alt+F2 to open a launcher
In that launcher type nautilus and run it
You might have to run killall nautilus in a terminal first
If so delete it and see if your desktop returns.

Open System monitor and veiw all processes.
Then kill nautilus and let it restart.
Also you can use mintDestop to see if they are enabled.
