Is there a way to have spelling error fixed automatically, regardless of the program being used?
For example, I mistype soem things regularly (liek the word "some" or "like") usually swapping out 2 letters. Regardless of the program, can these be addressed automatically? Would this be an operating system function?
I would like to have these corrected as I type. I would imagine Open Office might do this, but what about the rest of the system?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: automatic spelling error correction
I'm pretty sure this functionality has to be created on a per-editor situation. In theory you could write a program to hijack the keyboard input before it gets to the rest of the programs, but I don't know of any, and it would have to be a fairly complicated program.
