Default Download Manager

Postby ParadigmBlu3 on Thu Jun 18, 2009 7:19 am

I am not sure if this is a mint tool, but:

I am having a problem with the default download manager in Linux MInt 7. I cannot download large files. After downloading, the window comes up to find the file and says that the file is not found. Where does the download manager download files to? Can I change the location where the files get stored? It seems like the files are downloaded to a temporary location so that they can be opened immediately after download, but I would like to permanently store the files. Is there any way to configure the default download manager, and what is the default download manager anyways, I haven't been able to find out which one it is through my searches on google.

Thank you.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I'm sorry are you talking about downloading in Firefox?

In Firefox: Edit > Preferences > Main > "Save files to" This is where you can set the default location.
Please add a [SOLVED] at the end of your original subject header if your question has been answered and solved.
