Is the KDE Edition the one with all the mp3/flash ati drivers and such?
Also can the text based "alternate" installer of Ubuntu be used at all?

Not just that one edition. Is the KDE Edition the one with all the mp3/flash ati drivers and such?
Both of the Full Editions, GNOME and KDE, come with audio and video codecs and plugins (though proprietary display drivers from ATI or nVidia are downloaded and installed in an extra procedure).
The GNOME full edition fits on a CD, the KDE full edition requires a DVD.

Ah OK - WOuld prefer the text based installer... Maybe check out the next version then and stick with Kubuntu in the meantime...clem wrote:Yes. Only the "Light" edition comes without it.Is the KDE Edition the one with all the mp3/flash ati drivers and such?
No. Minter_dk is working on that. This might be ready for Cassandra, or the release after that. Also can the text based "alternate" installer of Ubuntu be used at all?
