I can advertise on my site as i have already added Linux Mint to the Linux OS area of the forum.
Here is the homepage introduction of my site:

Welcome to one of a few sites for Linux
This one in particular is for all Linux users and Developers, the for Developers feature is one of our goals of this site, this site is also here so Linux users can gain help and support and so Developers can host and share there Linux programs for free, just like this site is free! as well as our site features, we also provide resources for Linux.

Site Features

Download area, forum,top 10 software!, FAQ, member list(registered users only!), Linux OS reviews, Linux site links and much more!

The developers feature of the site I made because some Linux developers can't get there head around Source Forge(file sharing site) so i made this site simple to navigate.

If you are a Developer viewing this site and want to host your Linux programs do the following:

Register

* Click on the forum link to the left of this page
* Once you have done that click on Post To Host section of the forum
* And post a request with your file linked or send by email to admin@tuxfood.co.cc
* And it will be uploaded to the Downloads area of the site in the Developers Downloads section

The site is now open, I did it in just over two and a half days and from just coming back to Joomla isn't too bad.
The forum is user integrated.So its a one login, one register deal.
Need FTP access to upload Linux distributions or large programs or sdk's let me know on the site via PM or email or request in the forum.

Request Ad Space
Header space on frontpage no bigger then 120px in height,
Footer space is fine for size on the frontpage within reason,
Above posts no bigger then 100px in height and footer on the forum doesn't matter much within reason.
If you wish to request ad space all I ask is you register first so you are able to post and request your ad space thank you.

It seems that pc-geek's site(http://www.tuxfood.tk) is no longer available, i don't know if he's still visiting these forums, but i will try my best to answer your questions. I do not know what you mean when you say "rates" the sites traffic maybe?; the size of the banners don't really matter, i always preffer to create banners with custom sizes so they fit well on my site; but just to give you an idea on what the standardized size for banners are please check this Wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_banner also you can get some premade linux mint banners here > http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=163&t=26870.

"Do you choose a site to advertise?" again i don't really know what are you reffering to so i can't really answer, if you like linux mint you can put a banner with a link to mint (http://www.linuxmint.com) on your website to spread the distro if people like your site then hopefully they will try linux mint too, that's what advertising linux mint stands for.

Hi guys I am so sorry, I forgot about the site college got away from me and I can say I graduated college with ease with the I.T Practitioner course done under my belt and, I have taken it upon my self to re do the site and stick to it. I mean it this time so the offers still stand to Linux developers to host there files and, I will gladly host the distributions for you.
Just let me know if you want to do this and I will grant you ftp access to copy the image files.
