Just found this cool software package and thought I would share it with everyone. I was looking for a way to use Linux to create a picture sideshow for my upcoming high school class reunion and have tried numerous packages but this one looks to be the best.

Enjoy.

Re: DVD Slideshow Creator
You need to download and install two deb packages:
smile-data_0.9.9-1~ppa5_all.deb & smile_0.9.9-1~ppa5_i386.deb, or you can add the repo's as per the instructions. After manually installing the deb packages, there is a n icon in the "Sound & Vido" menu section.

Re: DVD Slideshow Creator
thank you- that helped
now i have to check it out a bit more - but at first glance it is not so versatile as proshow gold (windows)
i still haven't find a linux alternative for proshow gold (windows)
this is a good start but needs some more work
