Re: aspire one card readers

I assume you mean something like an SD card. Just insert it and open the "Computer" icon on your desktop (which is the Nautilus file manager). The device should just show up as a "media". Is it not there?

I still have the problem: With my netbook, If I start with an SC card in the left slot on boot-up then the left slot will recognize card and allow removal and it will still recognize it upon reinsertion. The right media slot will not recognize a media card. If I reverse it and have an SD card in the right slot then it will work fine, but the left media slot will not recognize a media card.

looks like the same information as on that ubuntu link..
Now, the only question I would ask, is have you ever run windows and got it to work, whichever card reader slot you used (left or right)
