Hope this is the correct forum for this topic!
I followed the advice given in the link below to get my Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card working with OSS. The instructions involved blacklisting the ALSA drivers. What I'm wondering is if there is a way to restore ALSA on my system without doing a format/reinstall? I'd like to do that since I have discovered an ALSA driver that may work with (and fully support!) my X-Fi card.

I had a quick look at that thread, but I did not see anything about blacklisting
However to "un-blacklist" all you have to do is to remove the blacklist line you once added
