MintUpdate menu - how to remove items from list? [SOLVED]
I have installed VirtualBox from the Sun site and would like to remove the "lite" version from the MintUpdate list - is that possible? Deselecting the checkbox next to VirtualBox doesn't remove it - so the MU icon still displays as an open lock.

Hi,
You can go into Synaptic, find the Installed version you want to keep, highlight it. Now go up to the Package menu, and choose Force Version.
That should do it!

Also what you're describing is the hold version feature that's been implemented for mint 8.
