This is Linux mint 7 Gloria XFCE CE Release Candidate.
It's used to get any bugs out before we release a final version.

I installed it on my wife's eeepc 900 last night and everything works like a charm, and is fast as a shark!(To quote Accept) ;)
Bye-bye easy-pc Xfce!
As usual a really good job merlwiz79!
Now how about that Gimp splash for the final release?? ;) ;) ;)

I am truly pleased with this release and look forward to the FINAL!

I should note that I was running LinuxMint 6 (gnome) on my main computer then decided to upgrade to LM7 (Gnome) but found it to be terribly sluggish. Not to be discouraged the next day LM7 XFCE (RC) was released and decided to check it out. I found it to be the fastest full distro I've ever used. I thought, if this is that fast lest see how it runs on an old Sony Vaio Laptop (PCG-F580 with Win98)) with a 667Mhz PIII with 192Mib ram. Sure enough the thing lit up like a Christmas tree. Although unconfigured, it idled at about 140Mib RAM and leaned heavily on the swap. After i configured it I managed to get it down to about 104Mib at idle. I then decided to install Openbox Window manager and was able to get it down to 41Mib. It now sits in my living room as a media player and light web and email use.

I am having issues with Emerald stealing my XFCE Decorations and not giving them back on my main PC and DVD play back is a mystery to me but all in all things look good.

Installed Xfce RC1 a few days ago.
Fast, stable, works as expected, only Krusader & K3b from Kde4.

Anything in particular need testing?
I haven't found anything that doesn't work.

Seems very well done for an RC1.
Looking forward to the final, just to have for any new installs.
