Linux Mint 2.1 codename Bea will be released tomorrow Wednesday 20th of December 2006 at 11:00am GMT.

actually, Linux Mint... IF you add in KDE would be better than than Mepis and PCLinuxOS(actually, its already better since is so easy to add but... it would still be nice if you could cut out the middle man for us) :shock:

will it be possible to upgrade from the beta to the full version? or will we just need to wipe and start clean?

I haven't had time to look at repos and upgrade paths so I'm affraid you'll have to go for a fresh install.

This is something we'll look at for Bianca though, a lot of people mentioned that.

Just installing Bea 2.1 on my laptop. ISO is free on Distromania since early this morning. Hope it is the official version.
I am very proud now!!!
Come back as soon everything is ok.

It's "kinda" official... the release is in 22 minutes. So you'll have to wait to check your md5
