I am just experimenting here. I have Gloria on my netbook, but I want to make a persistent liveUSB.
For practice I have formatted my 2GB USB drive. With about 1.3 GB ext3 and the rest NTFS. Will 1.3GB be enough for Mint? Thank you.
(I plan to purchase an 8GB USB here soon)
How much space does Mint take up?

Re: How much space does Mint take up?
If I remember correctly it takes up around 2 Gigs of space . On my lappy I have 5 Gigs used on the / drive (I have a separate home partition) , but I also installed quite a few apps on it.
Re: How much space does Mint take up?
I just installed LinuxMint-6 (XFCE) on a 4 Gb flash-drive, with USB Persistent.
According to the dowload file, it took 1.2 Gb for LinuxMint-6 (USB persistent)
I do not know if LinuxMint-7 (Main), is larger or not?
By the way . . . It worked like a charm.

Oh fantastic. Let me know how it goes! Did you format it also to ext3 with a NTFS partition also? Or did you select the "Use entire disk option"?
