Code: Select all

title Linux Mint 7 Gloria, memtest86+
root (hd0,2)
kernel	/boot/memtest86+.bin
quiet
I tried adding this:

Code: Select all

title Linux Mint 7 Gloria
root (hd0,2)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.28-11-generic root=/dev/sda3 ro quiet splash
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.28-11-generic
When I choose this option on boot I get Error 15: File not found.
Make sure all the files exist, that's all I can think

It should be there. That file is Linux itself, without it, you're not going to get anywhere :p

Are there any other files beginning with vmlinuz (or some variation on that)?

If not, you'll probably have to reinstall Mint. I have no idea how that might have happened.
