It doesn't matter if the Linux distributions mentioned are not the same as Mint, they will all be setup (dual-booted) in a similar manner, using Grub (the Linux boot loader), such as Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty) and Linux Mint 7 (gloria): Ubuntu 9.04 is Mint's base, before some Mint customizations..
