OQO +1 Mint 7 installation

Post by gsyman »

Has anyone managed to install Mint 7 on an OQO +1? I would like to install it on mine to dual boot so I keep the XP tablet handwriting recognition.
Is there any way to install it off an external CD/DVD drive, or off a USB stick?

What is a OQO +1? :)
Some Palm? At least UMPC
Don't know - but Unetbootin can help you make a bootable USB pen drive or even boot from an ISO on the hard disk if I understand it right

Husse is right about unetbootin, and it worked for me like a charm. It'll "burn" the Mint 7 iso onto a usb stick so you can boot from it, just like from a CD.

I've heard of people running Ubuntu on these things so it's worth a shot.
