Hello everybody,
All is quiet in the front! Where has everybody gone?
Well, since the second beta version of Cassandra is running smoothly, there is nothing much to talk about at present.
Some 'bugs' in Mintinstall that are minor, and suggestions for some artwork; that's all we can talk about.
Lots of people are still downloading this version. And many requests for additional software in the Mint Software Portal have been expressed by the community.
Remember? This is a 'community project'. Send in your requests before the final stable edition is released.

It won't be long before the stable release is out.
What are we to expect after Mint 3.0 Cassandra? It may be another pleasant surprise.

Hello everybody,

There has been much talk around about METALINKS; a new method of fast and more reliable downloading.
Unfortunately, not much is available in the form of a How-To. We can find a great deal of information by searching with Google, but what is needed here is a simple step-by-step tutorial for the average Linux user. I am sure most of you will agree.

I have put in a request for this in the SUGGESTIONS & FEEDBACK for Casandra beta 014.
I hope that someone knowledgeable will take the time to offer his services.

ADDICTION
Who said that Mint was an addiction
Indeed he made a sure prediction
A cure I sought to no avail
And everything I tried would fail

The Mint Cafe detoxification sessions were abandoned hopelessly. Very few people showed up in the Detox classes . And those who tried the formula at home were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
It's hopeless! Once you get a good taste of that refreshing Diabolo Menthe, with some Stoli added to it, you're done! There is no antidote I'm afraid.

It was also said that this intoxication with Mint would soon die out; unless it lasted until August! Don't ask me what August has to do with it; maybe the heat? Or perhaps the flies or mosquitoes?
Cassandra predicted a very hot summer this year, and mutated, extra large flies.

So cheer up my friends! At least we've got until August.

As most of you have seen or heard, Linux Mint 3.0, Cassandra, the latest success of Mint, has been officially released.
In order to honor the presence of Cassandra, the Mint Café will hold celebrations on Saturday, June 1, 2007 at 21:00 GMT.
The virtual festivities will take place in the renovated virtual Cassandra Bliss Lounge.
The mint Café is re-opening for this occasion tonight by the new management, under Mr. J.P. Blogger.

Your virtual presence will be deeply appreciated. Please get your VM vehicle ready for your trip to the Café.
Food and drinks will be served to our members and guests virtually free.

RECIPE
-One ounce of Diabolo Menthe
-One ounce of Bianca Green
-one ounce of Irish whiskey
-Two ounces of Stoli
-A pinch of paprica

Shake well and serve with ice cubes.
