Hi,

Sorry, no offence but i disagree. Mint is not Meat or any kind of canned meat.

Although i am a young guy, i vote for those - the traditional press names like:

The Linux Mint Magazine

The Linux Mint Gazette

The Linux Mint Journal

Well we have to have Linux in the name to avoid any confusion with the "other Mint" as RichyRich pointed out
or - but this is just a joke by a tired Husse
After eight
(may not be understandable in all countries - but that's a really good mint chocolate - thin and delicious - have to stop this rant :) :) )

Is this project still alive? I'd like to get involved if possible.

Mint Leaf or Mint Magazine are my favourite of the suggestions above.

MINT... put it in big letters and why make it anylonger than that lol?

then throw sub text saying "what is Linux mint and what version is best for you? page..10" ---wich can go on to explain the community editions such as KDE fluxbox and so on plus the gnome edition..

"Installing Mint to dual boot with Widnows..page..x" (To grab windows users attention).
"Interview with Clem about his lattest release page..24"
"What do people in your community (or other countries) think about mint? page...xxx"
"Famous people using Mint page...x"
"Mint across the world page..x"
"Clem Answers the Most FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions) about Mint...page...x"
"Experience Mint users show you how to use mint's hidden features to optimize performance and speed...page x"
"What do you use Mint for? page...X" (this can be helpful in promoting it as people can relate to the ones who use it and we can rip out the answers from the forum and write in tiny text "taken from forum post # 2124" or form topic "what do you use it for" or what ever.)

on front page some where "FREE LINUX MINT CD/DVD INCLUDED INSIDE! LIMIT 1 TO INDIVIDUAL PURCHASE!"

You could put "Lmmited Time Offer!! FREE Mint Bonus Stickers!!!"
It would be cool if the magazine came with Linux Mint STICKERS...for fun to stick on your computer fridge stuff like that. I think fans of this OS would totally love it to mint up the EXTERIOR of theyre PC's. Windows PC's come with a windows logo sticker on it I should know I still have it on mines it came that way lol.

then for the questions page clem can answer basic stuff that he has probably answered like
"how did you get started in the development of mint?"
"what was it like when you began to see Mint at the top three slots in distro watch?"
"how long have you been a Linux user? What was your favorite distro?"
"Do you use windows from time to time?"
"How is mint different than windows? How are they alike?"
Josh from California asks: "Clem, what new improvements and features can we expect in the next version of Mint?"
Stacy from Illonois asks: "Clem, if you were to do something different in the past versions of Mint what would you change?"

stuff like that would be cool to see in the mag. Just a few thuaghts hope you all enjoy.

I also like the name "Mint Leaf" as it has a bit of a double meaning as to "leaf" through a book or magazine means to turn the pages.
