It's a Puppy Linux distro built from Ubuntu 9.04 packages.
It's really nice, I recommend you check it out.
It's small and fast, but still full-featured.
Perfect for older computers.

It's still in alpha, though, so it probably has a few bugs. (personally, I haven't noticed any)

Re: upup 476
Personally I see little point in screwing-up a perfectly good minimal and fast distro like Puppy by adding Ubuntu packages. I would really love to know the rationale behind that one.
Re: upup 476
I think the main reason that Barry K (creator of puppy linux) is using packages from other distros is so that he doesn't have to host them himself.lagagnon wrote:Personally I see little point in screwing-up a perfectly good minimal and fast distro like Puppy by adding Ubuntu packages. Since he "retired" from developing puppy linux, he has been working on a set of scripts called "woof" that automatically builds a 100mb puppy linux distro using packages from other distros (currently it can use packages from slackware, debian, ubuntu, or arch)
I think he released upup as an example of what woof can do.
