It's been stated ere in the forums many times that people, including me, have had issues with Brasero. Just go to get-deb.net and install GnomeBaker. Short of installing a KDE app (K3b), this is your best route. Good luck!

Like most others I was having many problems with Brasero Disk-burner.
I finally, deleted it and installed K3b from the Mint repositories.
Never had another problem or 'error' when burning a disk.
