Not sure if it is a bug or an error but possibly apps like powernowd, speedstep_centrino or cpufreq_powersave should be installed by default in a laptop

well powernowd doesn't seem to have any effect on my overheating (I reckon it's probably the thermal paste on my graphics card, since lm-sensors doesn't work)
