What happened to the "ADD / REMOVE software button?

Hi all,

What happened to the "ADD / REMOVE software button? I love that feature from Bianca as it offers program choices without you having to know the name of a specific program. I find Synaptic only works for me if I know what I'm looking for.

Any help appreciated.

it was taken out so you are meant to use the software portal via your web browser.

As more programs are added to the software portal it will have more that the add/remove gnome applet does/did.

you could still install it via synaptic if you wanted to.
