Fujitsu P1610 touchscreen not working

Also tried https://launchpad.net/~syockit+launch/+archive/ppa, but it seems to have been removed sometime in the last few months.

I looked up some other solutions, but I don't think they would work as they were all made for Ubuntu 8 and earlier, and I've read that they have become incompatible. I also, quite frankly, don't possess the technical know-how to execute it properly.

Anyone?

That ppa is still there
Add
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/syockit+launch/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/syockit+launch/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
to your sources - you can do that with synaptic or a direct edit of sources.list (gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list)
Then do

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 9B4B90FA

Now apt update
Finally

apt install fujitouch

All this provided you trust the PPA
