How to change from MintMenu to Gnome Menu ?

Postby ebet on Fri Mar 30, 2007 12:06 pm

I like very much "Bianca", but I prefer the Gnome Menu to the MintMenu that reminds me a little of Windows. Is there a way of changing between them ?

Thanks very much

How to change from MintMenu to Gnome Menu ?

Postby npap on Fri Mar 30, 2007 2:38 pm

Welcome ebet,
It's very easy:
Right click on an empty space in your panel. Click on Add to Panel and select Main Menu in Utilities. Click add. Right click on the Bianca menu and Remove from Panel.
To position your new Menu on the panel, right click on the icon and select Move then slide it with your mouse to where you want it, then click.
You can also add a second panel at the top of your desktop:
Right click on the panel as before and select New Panel.

You can also change the color of your panel. I have mine in yellow. Very nice to the eyes:
Right click on panel and select Panel Properties>Background. Check the Solid color option and choose the color with the color wheel by clicking in the Color window.
Slide the Style bar to the right and see your panel changing color.

Have fun, Npap

Welcome to the gang, cemcd.

I too am using both menus, and I find Main Menu very useful sometimes.
I also have added a second panel on the top of the desktop; it's very useful to have.
