Mouse Pointer Size in Gnome / Mint Cassandra

I like the standard mouse pointer shape but not its size. How can I adjust this? I tried the Gnome Configuration Editor: Desktop / Gnome / Peripherals / Mouse and doubled cursor_size to 36. And rebooted. Nothing happened. On the Internet I can find surprisingly only some information on this subject.
Or should I install a new Pointer Theme?

I find the same as you find.....
Failed to change the size....
But if you like another Pointer Theme why not try it...
