Hi,

I posted this topic over at the Opera forums.

http://my.opera.com/community/forums/to ... ?id=308811

I was wondering if there was a program similar to FastStone or Print Key for Linux?

Thanks,

Tim

From your link..
Anyone familiar with Screengrab for FF? I should have the ability to do the same thing in Opera. Any chance of something like that getting implemented?
http://digg.com/software/Screen_grab_0. ... _as_images_
  • Screengrab saves entire webpages as images. Just install it, make sure Java is configured (Java absolutely necessary), and right-click on a page. You can save the entire page as an image (it scrolls around the page taking shots and stitches it together), just the visible portion, or the browser window.
That is what the Firefox extension does
  • In opera 10, I just File>Save as>filename.mht
--and the whole web page can be read, and all the links work..
Others..??
http://software.informer.com/getfree-op ... -as-image/
http://widgets.opera.com/
--and there might even be an opera widget, I did look, but didn't see any, although I don't even think it is necessary, since the Opera *.mht save seems more than sufficient to me..

I looked extensively for an Opera widget and couldn't find one. The software.informer link doesn't seem to have anything relevant to what I'm looking for, either.

What I want this for, is for making image "previews" of web pages I create. I need a way of saving the whole page in my browser as an image file.

I can use Firefox, and I do have the Screengrab add-on for FF installed. But I'd really like the same feature to work in Opera. I don't see any reason why it can't be added in a future release.
