How do I install without installing the GRUB bootloader?

Post by lsayre »

The title basically says it all. I want to install Linux Mint 2.1 BEA, but I can't figure out how to install it without also installing a bootloader which overwrites my MBR. Running Linux on 3 partitions, I already have GRUB, and I do not want it replaced by the version provided in Linux Mint.

In the installation summary you just click (hd0) and replace it with /dev/hda2 or whatever partition is your target.
