Hey All,

So I gave Linux Mint a try since version 8 has come out and I really like it - but I cannot seem to get L4D2 working on it under CXGames. It loads up and I see the two intro videos and then just after the loading screen shows it crashes out on me. Here is the dump from terminal:

Running Mint 8 32bit (which is based off of Ubuntu 9.10). I'm using the nVidia 190.42 driver and my other games seem to work fine under CXGames on Mint (L4D and TF2).

Ideas on what might be causing this dump? For now I can just boot into Ubuntu to play L4D2 but I'd kinda like to swap over to just Mint so input is welcome :) - I also started a thread on Codeweavers forums but I figured couldn't hurt to post the question here as well in case there are any Wine-Experts lurking the forums.

Also you can copy the .wine directory from other Linux installations and use them in different installs. I've been using the same Team Fortress 2 install since Ubuntu 8.04.

Yes - I'm aware I can copy Wine installs (and you can also copy just the Steam files like I have done) for example I have my laptop dual booted currently Mint 8/Ubuntu 9.04 and they both use the same Steam files off of my storage partition. How ever like I said Left 4 Dead 2 works fine under Ubuntu but out and out fails to run under Mint...

I'll have to give Wine a try later, as I said in the first post I am currently trying to get it to run under CXGames (as CXGames yields a better FPS than plain Wine does).
