Okay so I changed the fdi file to what it says and pulled up wacomcpl (which is a command I didn't know about before-hand (all the stuff I have on linux before has been plug and play lol)) it gave me errors. It said

Code: Select all

can't read "isLCD(212)": no such element in array
can't read "isLCD(212)": no such element in array
    while executing
"if { ![ string compare $type "pad" ] } {
	    if { $hasPad($model) } {
		createPanel 0 1 0 0
	    }
	} elseif { ![ string compare $type "touch" ] } {
..."
    (procedure "updateDevice" line 24)
    invoked from within
"updateDevice"
    (command bound to event)

I was using a wacom tablet on Ubuntu 8.10 and CentOS 5.3... everything worked flawlessly as soon as I plugged it in. I just installed Mint 8 over the holidays. Haven't had a chance to try it yet. I hope I do not run into errors :(

I'll try it asap.

Edit: Works flawlessly. Then again, it is not a Bamboo. It's a Wacom "Tablet (White Quartz)". It's older, but if you need a tablet it works flawlessly out of the box.
