When trying to change the wallpaper or appearance it is not working. This is on a fresh install - when loading gnome-appearance-properties, the following error is received:
(gnome-appearance-properties:2045): appearance-properties-WARNING **: Could not load user interface file: Failed to open file '/usr/share/gnome-control-center/ui/appearance.ui': No such file or directory
And indeed the folder /usr/share/gnome-control-center/ui does not even exist. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling gnome-control-center with no luck.

Re: Helena: Appearance and Wallpaper cannot be set
I think you may have a bad install - this can happen even if you have a working system
Did you check the md5sum and burned slowly
The file '/usr/share/gnome-control-center/ui/appearance.ui' is there in a correct system
