Good night
I'm having several problems with the dvd burner benq dw 1640 in mint 8:
Does not recognize empty dvd-rw media
Just eject the media mounted if I use the context menu
In some cases the media is mounted but nautilus does not show any files
How can I solve all these problems?
Thanks

Re: several problems with the Benq DW1640 burner
Sorry but this is confusing
Or is it two problems?
Take a look in fstab
Is there a line for the DVD device and what does it look like? Copy into your answer
I thought empty media does not have files....Does not recognize empty dvd-rw media

Here is my fstab file
Brasero does not recognize DVD-RW media. He says there is no media in the recorder when I try to record any data.
Code: Select all
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'blkid -o value -s UUID' to print the universally unique identifier
# for a device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name
# devices that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).

# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# / was on /dev/sda2 during installation
