Oblivion on mint
I'm trying to install The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion through wine in Linux Mint. I installed it in Ubuntu before with no problems but in mint it won't open the setup.exe file, I select it but nothing happens. Help?

Re: Oblivion on mint
What version of Wine are you using? Run winecfg go to the About tab and it should be near the top.

Re: Oblivion on mint
Oh hey, I'm playing that game, too.
You will need:
WINE v.1.1.33
PlayOnLinux
That's all it took for me to get it running. WINE v.1.1.34 couldn't get it running, nor could 1.1.32.
EDIT: To elaborate - if you don't already have WINE 1.1.33, uninstall the version you have, and then download 1.1.33, both the wine .deb and the -dev .deb, from here. Install both. Remove WINE from mintUpdate. Then download and install PlayOnLinux, insert the Oblivion CD, and use PlayOnLinux to install Oblivion.
