Linux Mint 7 XFCE - windows mangement odd behavior problem

Post by mduno »

I've been running Linux Mint 7 XFCE on a DELL Latitude C610 for sometime with no problems.

Today I am getting some odd windows management issues:
[1.] Open windows don't show in the task bar.
[2.] Unable to resize windows.
[3.] Icons for maximizing the window size, minimizing the window size or closing the window are no longer visible.
[4.] Unable to scroll through open windows using ALT / TAB.

Any ideas on what is going on and what can be done to resolve would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

Parece un problema con el gestor de ventanas. Si tienes activado Compiz, prueba esto Alt+F2 e ingresa el comando "xfwm4 --replace". Este comando desactivará compiz y la decoración de ventanas que proporciona Emerald.

Thanks for your response. Typing "xfwm4" in terminal and saving the session when logging out appears to have solved the problem.

Gracias!! And, who said, we don't have international co-operation here?
