My Quest for the best Linux Audio player

I'm looking for an audio player that has large database capabilities, multiple playlists, global hotkey support, a search that reverts itself when I delete the query and basicly doesn't destroy the list I currently have, and basicly as close to Foobar2000 as it can get. I tried Amarok, Quod Libet, Banshee, and Listen, all of them having a few quirks or something wrong with it. Suggest something good please!
Also: Is there a way to make the text smaller? I'm running Gnome with Beryl ()

well, im certainly not an expert, but what you're asking for seems pretty close to Amarok's capabilities. It is powered (OTS) by sqLite, but for larger systems can use MySQL (obviously quite capable), supports multiple playlists, global hotkeys, a decent search (no support for regex tho, AFAIK), etc. Not too much experience with most other players, except XMMS, which is a totally different class of player, but if you could list some more specific issues you're having I would be glad to help you with whatever I can.

Open Amarok/Settings/Configure Amarok/Appearance/Fonts/use custom
font/-set to what you want
Do same to have fonts change in OSD.

Never had it crash yet(20gb loaded), but try changing Configure Amarok/Engine/output plugin from autodect to alsa, write down your original settings just in case

Might try exaile, it works pretty good, the only thing I don't like about it is the naming of podcasts when they are downloaded. The newest svn version fixed the unable to randomize bug.

Thanks for the tip on Exaile. I like it very much. Amarok just crashed on me (stopped responding, then I exited it out and it wont come back anymore). So far working. Sadly it has no global hotkeys... does it?
And can it list songs by files and not the artists?
