Hey there,

just wonderin if there's a way to redirect mintupdate when it fails to fetch (in my case)

http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu/dists/ ... ackages.gz 404 Not Found

Or is this problem more serious than it appears?

This is a common problem with getdeb, usually means they are updating their repo and nothing to worry about. Just try again later.

ah yep that's what I first thought but since it's been goin on for 2 days now was just wonderin...thanks for the clarification tho, I just gotta be a bit more patient then

If you expand out your url there you get this: "http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu/dists/helena-getdeb/apps/binary-i386/Packages.gz"

Ubuntu does not have a version called helena, so you will wait forever for that to load.

If you change it to juanty-getdeb or karmic-getdeb you might have more luck.
