"VGA NOT SUPPORT" OpenArena & Criticalmass Games

Post by GDGIOWA »

Total newbie here.

Installed OpenArena but when I launch the program I get a screen that says
"VGA NOT SUPPORT". What's really frustrating is that I then can't or don't know how to get out of it so I have to reboot the computer.

Got frustrated and unistalled OpenArena. Installed Critcalmass. Same problem: "VGA NOT SUPPORT". At least with Criticalmass I was able to get out of it by hitting escape.

In both applications, I can hear the background music. I have installed and successfully used other games on this new distro (Vega Strike, Sauerbraten, Warsow).

Have you checked their website or forums to find out if the games are DVI only games? That card is a VGA type connector but never played many games to see where a game would only work with a DVI hookup?
