Logitech mouse drivers?

Hi everybody. I'm a Mint newbie from Spain;

I just installed the x64 Helena and everything seems to work fine. The only thing I can't solve by myself is to configure the mouse buttons, it's a cordless laser mouse model LX5 from Logitech. I'd like to configure the side buttons of the wheel, to be able to go forward and backward over the windows by just pressing those buttons, like once I did in Windows.

I searched over the net and there is people who did it by editing the "xorg.conf" file, but it seems not to work for me in this distro, trying with "xev" app it doesn't recongnize those 2 buttons like it does with the other ones...

So my question is, are there any Logitech drivers working in Helena? if not, how do I configure the mouse buttons to make them do what I want them to do....?

There is an app called lomoco, available in the Package Manager (Logitech Mouse Control). Not sure if will work for your specific mouse or not, but may be worth a try.

Ok, I installed lomoco with no problem, but when I try to configure it from the terminal it says always:

"004.002: 046d:c517 Unsupported Logitech device: USB Receiver"

It's like my mouse is not supported by this drivers... any idea?

I tried every command appearing in "lomoco -?", that are:

None of them are working, and now it doesn't even recognize my mouse, and says:
"/boot $ lomoco -i
004.002: 046d:c517 Unsupported Logitech device: Unknown"

Yea, it's not detecting your mouse !

When I searched the Package Manager earlier, I saw libgii1 , take a look at it, read the properties, and maybe try it ? ? ?

I've tried all i've found in google and your solutions as well with no results.
I think it doesn't reconize the z-wheel buttons, look when I run "XEV" in the terminal happens this:

1.- If I press a normal button of the mouse it recognizes it and says this:

"2.- But when I press a z-axis button of the wheel it returns me a false:

I'm starting to surrender... and I don't like it!!!! thanks 4 hlp anyway
