join a 2 avi video into 1 video file

i have a 2 video file video trying to make it into 1 video so far im lost any help gladly accepted

What format and what app are you using for the job?

avidmux is app unless you know better, avi is the format thanks

Have you opened synaptic package manager and added the aviutil package and any of the extra avi packages? Open synaptic and search with "avi" and have a look at the extra packages available for avidmux.
