WebCam Support

Post by sbeaber4 »

Okay. So basically my problem is that I had this webcam that I liked that was not compatible with linux and before I realized that I tried so many ways of building the UBC. Anyway I had this other Webcam that did work with linux, however now it doesn't, probably due to my tinkering. Ive tested it with 2 other webcams that work under linux and both do not work with my system. My question is there a way to turn back the clock and get my LinuxMint 8 Gnome's webcam setting back to the fresh install settings. Is that possible?

Thank you!
Steven

Sorry about that. I misspoke. I attempted to build a UVC driver for my webcam that was not compatible with Linux. As a result the webcam that I owned that did work with linux became more or less broken. In the end I just reinstalled LM and the problem righted it self.

Thanks!
