I'm in Love and Other Assorted Minty Texts

Postby Rob Brill on Fri Feb 05, 2010 12:28 am

I'm in Love
(A Mintified Romance)

Here comes my smart pretty girl in pink
I love her so madly and The Linux Mint
Let them out there to know about this hint
I don’t care for what that tough Doctor will think
On my guitar I pick the notes up for her to sing
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by

Linux Mint
Hey! Hey Hey! My mind in green
Me, her, going to do what can’t be seen (a sin)
It, Linux Mint, shows its power on the screen
Love and technology won’t keep us apart
Come on baby and once again hold me tight
Kiss me sweet and turn off the lights

You are the queen of my eyes
My big shining star in the sky
I'm in love
For all we know let it be
I'm in love
For all we know three of a lovely tree
For all we Know let it be

God Bless Ireland
God Bless France
Two hearts and a single thrill
God Bless, Australia, America
God Bless Sweden, Brazil
God Save The Queen
All the world's country flags smiling over the hill
The door should be closed in between

Hey! Hey! Hey! Okay
Today, tomorrow, every single day
Me, my girl and The Linux Mint
We close the door and send you a wink
What a night! Beautiful and bright
Daddies: the kids are all right

Get Linux Mint
Have a good time
Everything is fine
With someone by your side
Make your perfect days

Sometimes I like to write something about my feelings, life and about things that we have received for free and that is the work of others. A few lines written is not enough to express thanks but is already a symbolic initiative.

1 – English correction, please.
2 – The text can be changed including the title.
If you like playing with words, verses, rhymes feel free to add, remove, insert new words, new verses and rhymes. The text can be longer or shorter since you believe that this is convenient.

4 - The original meaning of the text can not be adulterated because the main objective is to improve the text. It must be preserved in its root.
Text content: a guy in love with a girl and also loves The Linux Mint.
5 – Make one text of your own style. I think this is a good exercise if you have some free time. (I do not have much).

I run a mac,
But I was intrigued by the penguin.
I heard of ubuntu but gave it the buntu
due to all of the horror.
I found one called Mint
and it worked sweet as Sh*t.
And today still run mint Gloria.

Mint KDE long awaiting and i made a wish
Last sunday morning i went to the beach
Up, that blue sky - solid and sweet
I could feel the breeze that touched the girls' breasts

Mint KDE, very pretty, so majestic, i made a wish
Good Heavens, that blue sky has sent me a wonderful gift

"Legend Of The Green Knight"

I was told there is a Green Knight riding the world
Riding the world of the computers and yes, I was told
It is a kind of hush but not a kind of factory whose men want your gold
Have you ever heard about the legend of the Green Knight?
The legend is very alive calling in the still of the night
A free Gnu/Linux operating system for free, that rides a shining road
Linux Mint everywhere, for everyone who cares for their own coats

Perhaps someone can play jokes on him
But I wish you could understand what I mean

Have you ever heard about the legend of the Green Knight?

Mr. Laptop
(My Adorable Uncle Jelly)

Snob you've never been before, rich fox
You and your “First Line” Laptop
Two of us carrying different boxes

Stand up for your position
Very interested in impositions
Hope we meet again at the real bright side
Go yours and i will go mine

I rebel with a cause
Please, stop making noise
It's a pleasure to use Linux because
Freedom to me is a candy storm

Do you want to see your friend again? Make a stop
Push the wheel to spin around new flock
Thinking of you Mr. “First Line” Laptop

After a few days, news about a new install
So, you did it with no regret my pal
Great! No heads against the wall

Still good friends ... discussions no more
The Lovely Uncle you was always before

Hold on The Linux Belly
My Adorable Uncle Jelly
Have a good time Ben
Help me to send an invitation to them
For you i took my hat off
I do love you Mr. Laptop

We say hello!
The say they go
There isn't a good reason to say no

With God on our side
Freedom to fortify our pride
They - One more time

They say they go
Hello, hello!
There isn't a good reason to say no

On Distrowatch

(Quo Vadis? - Without Rhymes)

- SOMEONE

Quo vadis, Quo vadis?
Quo vadis Linux distributions?

- HIM

I've rented an apartment in Miami oceanfront
Air conditioning, beer and no shirt for hot days
Without windows, all open and i started tweaking
Local girls only at night to talk, sex and drink
By day, I sleep and follow the list on Distrowatch increasing

I've read the news today Oh, Hell !
The list is long and my Linux distro is still on the waiting

Mommy, mommy I'll cry, cry
Mommy, mommy I'll cry, cry
If my Linux distro on Distrowatch doesn't shine
Mommy, mommy send my pacifier
I'm still a baby and i need breastfeeding

- SOMEONE

Thumbs up for Mr.Ladislav and Mr.Jesse for their great work
On Distrowatch
Can you guess the first thing I do every day?
Of course I can't miss what's new

On Distrowatch
On Distrowatch

They work night and day to promote all the Linux distros and their news
Reviews, Linux Media, new releases,, what will come (Upcoming Releases)
Donations to projects, analyses, DW Weekly, Page Hit Ranking, statistics
Illustrative screenshots, books, links for nice Linux Blogs (Sites), FAQ,
Latest reviews, newsletters, packages, podcasts, package management, reader
comments and more and more...

Mommy, i have spent your money here in Miami
Facebook, twitter, orkut - Ok i'm already in
Mommy don't worry, mommy don't worry
I feel insecure but i am a very talented guy
Mommy, mommy please say to me i won't cry
I don't want to know nothing about... Quo Vadis?
All i want is to see my Linux distro to shining

Notes:

You can cry a river because the waiting cannot be what you expect it to be.

Incorrect and unmet dependencies (HIM), also want to be part of the party (package)
at any price, lol...
Joining humor and a bit of criticism for some Isolated EGOS, yet it's possible
to pay a fair homage to those who deserve it. Of course i'm referring to the
Distrowatch website. Joining the useful and the less pleasant, i think the text
is more fun and interesting. Having said that and still being redundant, the
text goal is to pay a sincere homage to the Distrowatch website by everything it
has been making in favor of Linux Distributions and to all Linux users.

A Golden Dream At The Gate Of A New Down
(The Prophecy In Motion Time)

Must be added to your living archives

Me Freedom – Me Free
Me People – Me World

Me your computer's best friend
Me knocking on your door
Me coming to your rescue
Me pointing to the calling
Me your keyboard redemption
Me a view from the future

Me GNU/Linux
“ The Operating System”

Spread the word everywhere
Linux on daily basis we can get there
Don't think twice … the door is open for everybody anywhere
It's a good choice if you choose to stay close to those who care

INTO THE FUTURE

The time has come if you want it to happen – keep away from elsewhere

The dreams can not die because we need them to change things out there

THE LINUX MINT'S BOOK

We can say not a many years ago
Year 2006, Linux Mint was born to grow
A crazy soldier consider himself smart
The Green Knight's OS started to impress the masses
Quickly, people took Linux Mint to the charts
Allegories and hopes tied over the head of hungry sharks
The coming of Gnome Main Edition was a great prediction
A way to set free people under proprietary OSs' submission

Vive La Liberté De Conscience!
Le mot juste...Résistence!

Night after night, day after day
No matter how many barriers to pull down to open the way
Because the Band always will be ready to play
And the Band plays...

Soldier Mint's Brave Legion System Band
We hope you'll go on tracking the bend
Soldier Mint's Brave Legion System Band
We hope you'll go on planting good seeds on this land

The battle of every day
Cards on the table we must say
Each heart chooses its place to stay
The Linux Mint's Book thanks you today
The wise man over the bridge knows
In time of change to where the wind will blow
The Linux Circle always will be kept open
Get your free ticket to escape of getting broken

Vive La Liberté De Conscience!
Le mot juste...Résistence!

Night after night, day after day
No matter how many barriers to pull down to open the way
Because the Band always will be ready to play
And the band plays...

Soldier Mint's Brave Legion System Band
We hope you'll go on tracking the bend
Soldier Mint's Brave Legion System Band
We hope you'll go on planting good seeds on this land

Signs on the go
Premonitions on the go
Signs on the go
Premonitions on the go

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes:

Year 2006 ( two zero zero six )
OS – operating system
OSs – operating systems
Le mot juste ( the fair word) Resistance!
On this land ( whole world , planet)
Getting broken (left behind – lost in time)

The hierarchy was kept

“ A Soldier isn't a Sergeant “

The Pioneers

Somehow, words in vain can sound like an ordinary pain
Since the receptor interpret the benefit as ball and chain
Arrested himself without gaining the best of good rain
The rain cleared up the dust and have permitted GNU/Linux to remain

To remain at hearts of Pioneers whose fighting since the more earlier
Has given the opportunity to newcomers to run Linux easier

So, rethinking the concept we know those guiding words were not in vain

------------------------------------------------

Note: The Pioneers wrote the code and the history of GNU/Linux Operating System
and other developers are moving towards making the system even better.
