Questions about Conky

Post by Ax. »

I've recently found Conky and it makes my desktop look nice.

Question #1:
When I run "conky -C conky" I have to keep the terminal open, if I close it Conky will close too. What can I do to prevent this?

Question #2:
When I click on the minimize-button in Gnome, Conky will minimize too, is there a way to make it stay on the background?

Have a nice day everyone. =)

Thanks for all replies.

This line in the conky-config did prevent Conky from getting minimized: own_window_type override

As long as we're at it ... how do you make Conky automatically 'start' at booting.

Without having to use the terminal each time.

I know there is a simple script for this? And where do you put it?
