Icon theme not applied for GNOME apps

Post by skrunkler »

So, you know those apps on Linux Mint (or any non-GNOME, GTK desktop enviorment) that have the thick bar on the top, the bar that's thicker than any other apps? Well, after installing the Papyrus icon theme, I noticed that these thick-barred GNOME apps (like GNOME Calculator and the Archive Manager) don't follow the icon theme for their minimize and maximize buttons. The close button is fine, it follows the icon theme, but the minimize and maximize buttons default to the Mint-Y icon theme (the default icon theme). The only exception to this is GNOME Chess, which for some reason, has the minimize and maximize buttons correct

Is there a way to fix this? I use GNOME apps a lot and this really bugs me. I also have no clue why it's fine for GNOME Chess.
